Sessions Climbing + Fitness

Having purchased a site on the up-and-coming Northside of El Paso, Texas – the owners of Sessions Climbing + Fitness came to us with a love of the warm modern and industrial design aesthetics they had experienced in our brewery projects. We were challenged with maximizing the square footage of the new building to house the awesome climbing walls by Vertical Solutions, in addition to space for classes, a workout area, locker rooms, offices, a party room, and a café!

Modulus Design created an expansive industrial space full of character and warmth. This towering structure grew out of the earth and now stands tall against the Texas landscape boasting the required wall heights for climbing competitions. We note that the building exterior forms and windows – with slight angles and pitches along with siding color variations – are a nod to the mountains and boulders that we climb in nature.

The owners of Sessions Climbing + Fitness purchased a site on the Northside of El Paso, Texas, with the intention of creating a space for climbing walls, classes, workout areas, locker rooms, offices, a party room, and a café. They approached Modulus Design with a desire for a warm modern industrial design aesthetic they had seen in some of our brewery projects. We were tasked with minimizing the square footage of the new building while incorporating the awesome climbing walls by Vertical Solutions.

To meet this challenge, Modulus Design created an expansive industrial space that exudes character and warmth. The towering structure rises from the ground and stands tall against the Texas landscape, boasting the required wall heights for climbing competitions. The building’s exterior forms and windows, with slight angles and pitches, along with siding color variations, are reminiscent of the mountains and boulders that we climb in nature.
